Aly is an award-winning cartographer and certified GIS professional (GISP) with over 15 years of experience working at the intersection of science, technology, and design. She is an expert in translating complex geospatial data into effective visuals that engage diverse audiences and a firm believer in the power of quality cartography to tell stories, inform decision makers, encourage curiosity, and inspire change.
Originally from Vermont, Aly has spent most of the last decade living in Colorado making outdoor recreation maps for National Geographic. She holds a Master's degree in Geoinformatics from the University of the West Indies and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from Middlebury College. Outside of work, Aly enjoys embarking on family-friendly adventures with her husband, young daughter, and energetic pup.
