Combining Trail Navigation and Conservation Interpretation for Champlain Area Trails

Overview

Champlain Area Trails needed a trailhead resource for Long Pond Preserve that could do two jobs at once: help visitors understand the trail system and communicate why the landscape is worth protecting. Green Goat Maps combined detailed preserve cartography, visitor information, and interpretive content into one outdoor kiosk panel.

Scope of Work

To meet the needs of Champlain Area Trails, Green Goat Maps was contracted to map trails, water features, roads, and points of interest; develop content related to stewardship, recreation, and conservation; design the complete kiosk layout; and coordinate production for a durable outdoor installation.

Key Deliverables

The finished kiosk includes a detailed preserve map supported by interpretive content about the landscape and CATS' conservation mission. The panel was produced on durable DiBond material for long-term outdoor use.
